The Bridge Community Meeting gathered on Thursday 26th November and came to a very difficult decision: to stop meeting on Sundays for a period.
We haven’t taken this decision lightly, and we realise that it will be a disappointment to some. However, we do believe it’s the right thing to do at the moment. The number of people organising our Sunday Gatherings is relatively few, and we are feeling the pressure of the combined need to prepare and present material for the Gatherings and also to take part in the ongoing prayer, research, planning and development for the relaunch we have planned for 2016.
The relaunch in 2016 will be crucial. So, we feel it’s right to concentrate our resources and prayer to discern our mission for what the church will become.
We will continue to meet; to pray; to affirm each other; to plan for the future. We will consider the most effective ways in which we can interact with the community and our community.
As always, our planning and meetings will be open, so if you’d like to keep up to date with how things are going, just keep in touch.
With every blessing as we enter into the advent season,
The Bridge Community
